Do you see the nonegatives.com logo intead of all the images on this site? If so, please read on for an explanation and details on how to fix it.
The webserver at Nonegatives.com uses a special set of rules designed to hinder image theft; under normal circumstances, your browser sends some useful information with each request, including which browser and version you are using as well as a 'referer' [sic] variable containing the URL the browser is at when the request is made. This information helps webmasters determine which browsers their vistors like, which pages are most popular, as well as from where visitors are being referred.
Some programs, designed to stop ads and popup windows, allow you not only to delete browser cookies and such, but also allow you to block transmission of referral information to web sites. Truthfully, this is a useless feature as your referral information simply tells the web site you're visiting what page you're loading at the moment and possibly what page you came there from.
Let me stress that the referrer information is completely anonymous! Your browser is not telling our servers who you are, just what pages you are looking at.
Some of the programs known to block referrers are listed below:
If you have a program you suspect is blocking referrers, please email me about it.
All of these programs allow you to turn off this feature on all or select web sites. If you can, please disable the block referrer feature on your program for nonegatives.com, and then reload our pages. You'll be able to see all of the images then!
Thanks! Garrison
